1. Fulfill admission requirements

To obtain a CPRE Specialist certificate, you must have already obtained the Level 2 Practitioner certificate for the same module.

2. Practical application

Use the knowledge and skills gained in the Practitioner module to gain practical experience in Requirements Engineering. Develop your skills further by learning how to select and apply specific Requirements Engineering techniques and methods. This will help you make informed decisions and deepen your expertise in various use cases and is an ideal preparation for the CPRE Specialist certification.

3. Download the task

Download the task description for your chosen CPRE module. This download includes:

  • Form for the declaration that the written assignment is all your own work
  • Information on the scope, structure, and evaluation of the assignment
  • Structure and expected content

Make sure you know the necessary requirements and specifications to demonstrate your skills and knowledge in the context of a specific project.

4. Creating a written assignment

You prepare a written assignment that relates to a real project context in your own working environment. You are free to choose the topic within the scope of the task.

Please note that the written assignment must meet the requirements of the task. It can be written in German or English. For the CPRE Requirements Elicitation module, it can also be written in French.

Demonstrate your knowledge and skills in the selected CPRE module in practical application. Demonstrate that you are able to implement complex requirements in Requirements Engineering and that you have in-depth RE competence.

5. Submission of a written assignment

Submit the written assignment to your selected certification body so that it can be evaluated by our assessors. There is no deadline for submission.

Please note: IREB may change the task at any time with a transition period of six months. It is your responsibility to keep yourself informed.

6. Pass exam and receive certificate
