IREB has expanded the CPRE certification program to include micro credential qualifications. Micro-credentials are compact learning units that impart specific knowledge in a short period of time.

The first of these is the AI4RE micro credential, which is currently available in a beta version and will be released on March 1st

This micro credential will give you an understanding of important AI technologies, their strengths and limitations, and their effective application - from LLMs, chatbots, and RAG to the automation of requirements gathering, documentation, and management, while maintaining human control.

How do we define the tasks that artificial intelligence should take over – and how does that shift the role of Requirements Engineering? In this IREB Roundtable, experts from Fraunhofer IESE and MetaFinanz explore how AI can become a partner in identifying, structuring, and supporting human tasks. We’ll dis-cuss the balance between efficiency and effectiveness, the use of frameworks like the Knowledge Pyramid, and how human-centered thinking remains essential in designing meaningful AI use cases.
